The Federal Government has declared Monday 1st October, 2018 Public Holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s 58th Independence Anniversary.
The Minister of Interior, Lt General (Rtd), Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Nigerians on the anniversary and urged them to sustain President Muhammadu Buhari Administration’s efforts towards maintaining and strengthening the unity and peace of Nigeria.
Gen. Dambazau emphasized Government’s commitment to promoting national unity, economic growth, social and political development based on democratic principles. Adding that in the past 58 years, Nigeria has made a lot of progress and positive impact not only on the lives of its citizens but also on infrastructural development as well as international relations.
